FAQ

Questions, answered.

A few helpful details before arranging an in-home physiotherapy visit.

How much does an in-home physiotherapy session cost in Toronto?

A 60-minute session costs $180 and a 45-minute session costs $160. That is the full price, travel within my service areas is included, and the amount is confirmed on screen before you pay.

What happens at the first visit?

Your first visit is a 60-minute assessment and treatment. We talk through your history and goals, I test your movement and strength to find the cause of the problem, and treatment starts in the same visit. You leave with a clear plan and home exercises.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

No. In Ontario, you can access private physiotherapy without a physician’s referral, you can book directly.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the problem and how it responds to treatment. You will get an honest estimate after your first assessment, and we review it together as you progress, there is no obligation to book a block of visits.

Do you treat seniors and post-surgery patients?

Yes. I regularly help older adults with balance, mobility and fall prevention, and patients recovering at home after joint replacement and other surgery. Care is one-on-one and paced to the person.

Which areas do you cover?

I offer in-home visits in Downtown Toronto, Yorkville, Bayview Village and Rosedale. If you are just outside these areas, contact me, visits nearby may be possible depending on scheduling.

What do I need to prepare at home?

A clear, comfortable area where you can move is usually enough. If there are reports, discharge instructions or a medication list relevant to your care, have them available. I will advise if anything else is needed.

What about condo access and parking?

When you book, share concierge procedures, elevator bookings, visitor parking instructions or loading access in the visit details. If paid parking is the only option, any parking arrangement or charge will be confirmed before the appointment.

Can a family member join the session?

Yes, with your consent. A family member or caregiver may sit in, ask questions and learn how to support the agreed plan.

Is in-home physiotherapy right for every concern?

Not always. An initial conversation helps determine whether a home visit is appropriate. I may direct you to another care setting or provider when your needs fall outside the service’s scope or require equipment that cannot be brought to you.

How do I pay?

Payment is made online by card when you book your visit, through Stripe. Your visit is confirmed once payment is complete.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Please give me at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule your visit. Visits cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a charge of 50% of the session fee.

What if my problem is an emergency?

If you have chest pain, sudden weakness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a serious injury, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.
