In-home physiotherapy for back and neck pain
One-on-one assessment and treatment at your home in Downtown Toronto, Yorkville, Bayview Village and Rosedale.
Back and neck pain are the most common reasons people book an in-home visit. Sometimes it arrives suddenly, a lift, a twist, a poor night’s sleep, and sometimes it builds quietly from desk work, driving and stress until it runs your day. Either way, the first step is the same: a proper assessment in your own space, to work out what is driving the pain before treating it.
At home, I can see the real contributors, your desk setup, your mattress, the chair you sit in for hours, the way you get out of bed. Treatment then targets the cause you live with, not just the place that hurts, and your home program fits the room you’ll actually do it in.
Common problems I see
- Lower back pain and stiffness
- Sciatica and pain radiating into the leg
- Neck pain and stiffness, including after whiplash-type injuries
- Headaches that start from the neck
- Posture-related aches from desk work
How treatment works
Your first visit is a full assessment: how your spine moves, your strength, and simple nerve and red-flag screens, so anything that needs a different kind of care is caught early. Treatment may include hands-on manual therapy to ease stiff joints and muscles, and a progressive exercise program to restore movement and build the strength that keeps pain from returning. You’ll also get practical guidance on sitting, sleeping and lifting, the habits that decide whether a back settles or keeps flaring.
Sessions and fees
A first visit is a 60-minute session ($180): a full assessment, hands-on treatment where appropriate, and your home program. Follow-ups are 45 minutes ($160). You’ll get an honest estimate of how many sessions you’re likely to need after your first assessment, no obligation to book a block.
Questions
Do I need a scan before physiotherapy?
Usually not. An assessment first is the standard route, if anything in your history or examination suggests imaging or a medical referral is needed, I’ll tell you and point you the right way.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the cause and how long it has been there. You’ll get an honest estimate after your first assessment, and we review it together as you progress.
Can you treat sciatica at home?
Yes. Sciatica is assessed and treated the same way at home as in a clinic, movement testing, hands-on care where appropriate, and exercises matched to how your leg pain behaves.
